Larry Farber SENIOR MANAGING PARTNER

Larry's entry into the music world began at the early age of 12 when he started his first band. As a young piano player, he participated in several regional Carolina bands including The Rivieras, one of the southeast's most popular groups. As a student at UNC Chapel Hill, he continued his pursuit of the music business by becoming the social chairman of his fraternity (Tau Epsilon Phi) and became an active member of the student activities board. After graduating from Chapel Hill in 1973, Larry went to work as an agent with Hit Attractions.

He spent 13 years there before he, Dennis Huber and Steve Thomas decided to merge talents, bands, customers and resources into an expanded ECE. Farber opened the Charlotte office of ECE after recruiting future partners Ed Duncan and John Roth. Currently, he serves as the company's C.O.B. Since 1986, Farber has been actively involved in the growth of ECE into today's multi-office company. He has been active with several industry organizations (NACE & ISES). In 1988 he started an organization called PATA (Professional Association of Talent Agents). Larry performs in a band called In The Pocket and Limited Edition. In 2007, Farber founded a private music club called "Music With Friends" in both Charlotte, Charleston, and Houston! Music With Friends hosts three shows a year with legendary performers such as Crosby, Stills, & Nash, Sheryl Crow, Diana Ross, Bonnie Raitt and several more. Larry and his partner Ed Duncan proudly created the successful "Alive After Five Series" in Charlotte, now in its 16th year.

Outside of ECE, Farber has been an active leader in the Charlotte community where he was President of Temple Beth-El for two years. During his tenure at Temple Beth-El, he created a vision for a community fundraiser and was credited with helping raise over $1 million in three years by starting the "One for All Ball". As a board member of the Family Center and the Shelter for Battered Women, he gave time for these causes that were important to him. Additional, he served as the President of the Carolina's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Larry is married to Sherri McGirt, an attorney in Charlotte, and has three sons, Adam (29), Harrison (27), and Reid (21), who is currently an intern in our Raleigh office. Larry is now the proud grandfather of a baby girl, Sutton! In addition to playing the piano, Larry is an avid golfer.

Thanks for your inquiry into ECE. It is my honor and privilege to help you find the perfect entertainment for your event. I treat every customer with the same professional courtesy and love becoming a part of making your event successful and fun.
