Joel Cruz EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, ARTIST SERVICES

Joel, from a young age, has been surrounded by music. His parents placed him in piano lessons in first grade and in later years taught himself to play guitar and produce music. Joel actively pursued music throughout grade school playing piano, guitar, and bass in bands and was even trained in live sound engineering and lighting design.

Towards the end of high school, Joel began to teach himself to DJ and produce electronic music. He performed at his first events in 2013 at Longwood University where he earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing (Class of 2016). While at Longwood, Joel, with the help of two close friends founded “Cruz Productions” an entertainment and production business that provided live sound, lighting, and DJ services for hundreds of college, corporate, wedding, and private events. Joel now works as the Executive Producer in ECE’s Artist Services department where he is responsible for overseeing all media production for the ECE exclusive roster.

Joel is also an accomplished music and event photographer/videographer who has worked with many well-known artists from all over the world. He’s been able to shoot at some of the country’s most renowned music venues such as New York’s Webster Hall, The Hollywood Palladium, and Echostage in Washington D.C. Joel was also involved in the 2016 U.S. Vice Presidential debate as an on-site videographer and network media liaison.

Originally from Chesapeake, VA, Joel now lives in Charlotte, NC where he stays active in the local music scene. In his free time, Joel enjoys cooking, photography, and producing electronic music.
