As the sponsor of IPW 2017, Tanger Outlets National Harbor in Washington, DC wanted unique ways to get their branding in front of attendees over the multi-day, multi-location conference. A testament to the collaborative nature at ECE, when Tanger’s corporate office in North Carolina asked ECE Raleigh agent, Rebecca Thomas, for DC entertainment, Rebecca knew just who to call --- ECE DC agent, Jenny Langer.
For Saturday’s National Harbor tours, champagne welcomes and shopping excursion, ECE provided four female stilt walkers who wore elaborate floral headdresses custom-made for the event. Costumed in Tanger’s branded colors, the stilt walkers stood high above the busloads of guests, greeting them and posing for photos.
Also provided by ECE was a fabulous lollipop lyra aerialist who performed in a custom red and white Tanger Outlets branded bodysuit with matching wig and lyra.
Sunday’s event occupied several blocks of Washington, DC when Hello! Washington DC (DMC) hosted a massive concert and party on the National Mall. Our two Living Art characters posed and greeted guests at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum with Tanger branded ribbons. Their bold red, black and white costuming brought Tanger’s brand to life and guests could not stop taking photos with and of them. (Costumes were designed and created by celebrity artist, Muffinhead. Models were Muffinhead and Stella Rose - fashion designer/model in NYC.)
Additionally, IPW attendees stood in awe as they watched the outdoor sway pole artist. During daytime hours, the Tanger logo was seen clearly on her costume, and when nighttime fell, the LED lighting in her wings and wig continued the spectacle.
The result? Not only were guests engaged by the performers, but the client’s logo was posted and reposted countless times on social media thanks to the unique marketing.
