INTERESTED IN RED TOP RAMBLERS?
ARTIST BIO
The Red Top Ramblers are a six-piece bluegrass band that specializes in bringing a collection of standard and not-so-standard bluegrass music to the stage. In front of rock solid instrumental backing, we offer up simmering vocal harmonies. We're grounded in Monroe, Lester and Earl, Stanley Brothers, Martin, and the Osbornes; we also feature music from Alison Krauss, Bonnie Raitt, Ricky Skaggs, Steeldrivers, Steve Earle, Peter Rowan, Rhonda Vincent, and Claire Lynch. We mix it up with adaptations from The Beatles, Grateful Dead, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers, the Boxtops, and Ozark Mountain Daredevils (remember them?) and even a little Motown. We add in a pinch of band originals and serve it up all hot and bubbly at places like Hunley's Tavern, Seanachai, 2nd Sunday on King Street, and once in the produce department of a Piggly Wiggly. We have played at many public and private functions in the Charleston area, and have backed Mark Bryan of Hootie and the Blowfish at a memorable show at the Charleston Aquarium. So...
Are. You. Ready. To....RAMBLE!!!
