"Grabs a hold of your soul and rocks it!"- The Boston Herald. "A Don't Miss Show"- Delta Airlines Sky Magazine.

When three friends from Berklee College of Music came together in 2009, they never dreamed their style of high-energy roots rock, soulful blues, and New Orleans R&B would have them touring around the world. Since landing on the name Moonshine Society after toasting with drinks under the moon in Washington, DC, they’ve brought their blues to Asia, Cuba, and throughout the US. The band has not only cultivated their own modern take on traditional stylings but created a community of musicians who are all a part of the Society. Lead singer Black Betty considers this to be her band’s biggest strength in a time when radio music seems to favor synthesized sounds over human players.

In 2012, three members of the group were inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame for their work with legendary harmonica player Charlie Sayles. They've opened for artists including Johnny Winter, George Clinton and Funkadelic, Tower of Power, The Family Stone, Roomful of Blues, The Nighthawks, Mud Morganfield, WuTang Clan, Tab Benoit, Snoop Dogg, Peaches, Indigenous, and more. Members have also performed and recorded with John Mayer, Warren Haynes, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Brian Eno, Jason Ricci and more.

Perfect for events of any kind that want something “a little different” than your typical wedding band, Moonshine Society brings class and sass all in one fun package.
