Alan James has led a life that most people dream of. Having lived in five countries, toured the world entertaining American Forces, played guitar with some of the biggest names in music history and hosted his own late-night TV talk show and was voted 2016 Superman of the Year in South West Florida. Alan James hail’s from London England and has an extensive career in the music business. As a young musician in London, he became one of the most in-demand guitar players on the club circuit and was recognized in the circles with such notables as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Hendrix, Jimmy Page and Peter Frampton. His first single on Columbia Records was recorded at the Beatles Abbey Road Studios and had a moderate chart success amongst some of the all-time classic rock hits of that era. In the seventies he formed his own band and spent several years traveling the world entertaining American forces while living in Greece, Turkey, Germany, France and Italy and eventually moving to the U.S.A.

While touring Alan’s musical talents caught the attention of International singing star and Rock & Rock Hall of Fame Artist Roy Orbison. He was hired to be Roy’s lead guitarist and moved to Nashville at Roy’s request. Alan went on to become Roy’s musical director and personal manager. He toured the world for twelve years performing at most of the major venues. Madison Square Gardens, London Palladium, Sydney Opera House and Buckingham Palace to name a few. Alan’s television credits include The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, Dick Clark Specials, Austin City Limits, The Midnight Special and Don Kirshner’s Rock Concerts.

While touring the world with Roy Orbison, Alan has befriended some of the top names in the recording industry many of which he still maintains a friendship with to this day. In the early nineties, Alan formed The Powerhouse Group, an entertainment and special events company. His vast knowledge of the industry, performing, booking and producing headline acts and shows quickly gained him the reputation of a person that really knows the business and is great to work with.
